Hello! My name is Sonia Clinton, and I am a registered Veterinary Technician at Oak Pointe. I started in October 2001 as a veterinary assistant, and then, in 2005 I received my Applied Associates in Science from Cuyahoga Community College in Parma Ohio. Monday through Friday I work as a technician at a food animal practice in Wooster. The practice is 95% dairy cattle, 3% beef cattle, and the remaining 2% consisting of goats, pigs and sheep. My duties as a large animal technician are very similar to the duties that I perform at Oak Pointe. I ride along with the doctors to the different farms, give injections, draw blood, place IV catheters, assisting with surgeries, and various other tasks. A native of Dover, I graduated from Dover High School in 2001, and currently live in Dover. My pets include: a short hair cat named Elsie and an Irishwolf Hound mix named Frodo. In my spare time I enjoy walking the dogs. I also enjoy riding my "leased" horses: Inkjet, a Paint horse, and Dragon, a Quarter horse.
