Dr. Covy established Oak Pointe Veterinary Care in the summer of 1995. The practice began primarily serving horses and cattle which progressed to an exotic and companion animal exclusive hospital. In the fall of 1995 the conversion of a century old home into a small animal hospital was completed. Two years later, a full service boarding and grooming facility was opened. The final phase of construction was completed in the spring of 2001. The complex now covers over 7000 square feet and provides four exam rooms, a pharmacy, laboratory, surgery suite, dental facilities, x-ray, ultrasound as well as grooming, 30 indoor kennels, 24 indoor/outdoor runs and two exercise yards.
